To help lead the company as it grows throughout the Carolinas, Miles•McClellan Construction has hired two seasoned contracting professionals and promoted another.

Charlie Gibbs, who joined Miles•McClellan over two years ago, has been promoted from Project Engineer to Project Superintendent. “My goal in this new position is the same as the rest of the company’s:  to deliver a quality project to the owner on time and under budget.” Gibbs originally was hired by Miles•McClellan to work on the Honda Aircraft Phase I. An Ohio native, Gibbs now lives in Greensboro with his wife and daughter.

Anthony Wood has joined the company as Safety Officer. He brings 15 years of experience in the construction industry, having worked as project manager, site engineer, and safety officer. Because of the company’s strong emphasis on the safety of its employees, subcontractors, and clients, Miles•McClellan considers Wood’s new role to be a top job site position. Wood lives in Apex with his wife and two children.

Also this month, Paul Sullivan has been hired as Quality Control Officer. Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Sullivan has 20 years of experience as a project manager and site superintendent with other renowned companies in the region. According to Sullivan, “I joined Miles•McClellan after hearing people talk about the excellence of the organization.” Sullivan lives in Burlington with his wife and two children.

Miles•McClellan specializes in commercial construction management, general contracting, and design/build projects, with an emphasis on pre-construction planning. The company was founded in Columbus, Ohio, in 1978 by Terry McClellan and Lonnie Miles, PE. Today, Miles operates the North Carolina office with Tim McClellan, son of the co-founder.
