Kathy Coleman wins NAWIC’s Most Prestigious Award

Kathy ColemanWe are proud to announce that Kathy Coleman, Human Resources Manager, has been awarded the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Region Four 4-Most Leader Award. Kathy was selected from among 21 chapter representatives throughout a five-state region. The 4-Most Award is NAWIC’s most prestigious honor. Each chapter selects a member for the regional award competition. Nominees are then judged by representatives from another region. NAWIC’s Region Four includes 20 chapters in Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Indiana, and West Virginia. Judging criteria includes leadership and participation in chapter, regional, and national NAWIC activities, forums, and conferences as well as active participation in other local construction related activities.

Pat Wojcehowica Graduates from MM Training Program

Pat WojcehowicaWe are proud to announce and congratulate Pat Wojcehowicz as the newest graduate of our internal Construction Management Training Program. The Construction Management Training Program is a six-year commitment with participants working in estimating and operations areas within Miles-McClellan Construction for approximately 18 months each. The four focus areas are Estimating, Project Engineering, Field Engineering and Field Supervision. Miles-McClellan developed the training program in 1997 to prepare project managers and project engineers for career advancement and significant project management roles with Miles-McClellan. Pat Wojcehowicz is the fourth Miles-McClellan employee to complete the program; six additional employees are currently enrolled. CM Training Program participants typically have a bachelors degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.

Miles-McClellan hires Desiree Bustamante as Project Administrator

Desiree BustamanteWe are pleased to announce that Desiree Bustamante has joined the firm as Project Administrator in Operations. Bustamante has six years of administrative experience. She is a graduate of Wright State University with a B.A. degree in Communications. Desiree’s responsibilities include coordinating contract documents, preparing payment applications, managing project communication, and maintaining project files for Miles-McClellan Construction’s renovation and new-build projects.

Miles-McClellan hires Charlie Gibbs as Project Engineer

Charlie GibbsWe are pleased to announce that Charlie Gibbs has joined the firm as Project Engineer. Gibbs has six years of construction project management experience. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. degree in Construction Systems Management. Charlie is currently managing Miles-McClellan’s work on the Honda North Carolina project where his responsibilities include controlling quality, schedule, budget and labor of Miles-McClellan’s renovation and new-build projects.
